Close Enough is Not Good Enough
For authentic Benjamin Moore colours, insist on Benjamin Moore paint
Mismatched colours are often not evident until the paint is on the walls, and the results can be disappointing. Competitors may claim they can match Benjamin Moore colours, but the truth is that they can't.
You can only get true Benjamin Moore colours using Benjamin Moore paint. The reason lies in our manufacturing process. Our paints are created using proprietary colorants and resins and formulated with our patented waterborne technologies. This highly controlled system ensures the quality of Benjamin Moore paints and the purity of our colours.
When a competing store offers to match a Benjamin Moore colour, their scanner simply provides its "best guess" for matching the colour using another paint, generic colorants and a different tinting system. While it may be close, the final result is not the colour you spent days or weeks deciding upon.
Be sure that the colour you picked is the colour you get.
Authentic Benjamin Moore colours are only available from Benjamin Moore.

The depth of Benjamin Moore pigments
Authentic colour comes from real pigment depth, not from a swatch under a showroom light. Benjamin Moore's Aura® and Regal Select® lines use a proprietary Gennex® colorant system that's hand-tinted at the can — which is why the same colour code can look subtly different at a Big-Box store versus a true Benjamin Moore Signature Store like ours. For Costa del Sol projects, this matters: the Mediterranean light is unforgiving, and pigment quality is the difference between a colour that ages well and one that drifts within a couple of years. Visit our boutique at Calle Dublín 21 to see authentic Benjamin Moore neutrals swatched on real Aura® or Regal stock.
